Creating your Oncontractor profile

4 Jun 2020

Are you looking for some help and tips on how to set up your Oncontractor profile? You’ve come to the right place.

First things first, we recommend that you use an internet browser like Chrome or Safari. We find that these browsers provide users with the best experience.

We also recommend that you create your profile using a computer rather than a mobile. This is because it’s helpful to upload a CV, and most people don’t have this available via their mobile device.

Sign up: You can sign up and create your Oncontractor profile by following this link here

To begin creating your profile, we require your full name, email address and password.

Once these details have been provided, we ask for your mobile number to enable our two-step verification process. You will receive an authentication code on your mobile and need to enter it to proceed.

We then recommend uploading a copy of your CV and a profile picture. Don’t stress too much about the profile picture, just ensure that it’s professional (something you wouldn’t mind your future boss to see) – you can always update it later should you wish for it to be changed. If you don’t have an up to date CV that’s OK, it is not a requirement, but it will make the sign up process quicker for you.

The next step is to provide your role information and availability to work.

If you are currently not working, you can just put in your last professional title as your “role”.

Then, you need to enter in your professional experience.

We recommend that you include as much of your experience as possible, as this is an important part of our AI matching algorithm. Please don’t write “see CV” as our platform will not be able to match your skills to open roles unless they are added in this section.

When you’re listing your skills, we recommend that you keep them short and sharp, 3 words or less is perfect. For example, “project management”, “stakeholder management”, “data analysis”. We recommend at least 5 skills per role wherever possible.

The last step is to upload your working rights, qualifications and references.

Again, this helps us best match you to the most relevant open positions. Don’t worry, references will not be checked until a role has progressed to offer stage.

And then you’re done!

You can log in and edit your profile at any time. You’ll be notified when your profile matches a suitable opportunity.
